Enhancing Campus Gateways and Curb Appeal

OUR GOAL: $500,000

Campus enhancement rendering

Designated as a National Historic District, Central Methodist University boasts a charming campus of brick and stone buildings nestled among majestic shade trees. However, there is a unique opportunity to enhance our first impression on visitors, alumni, and the community. With this campaign, we aim to create impressive gateways into the campus that will leave a lasting impact.

Beautiful brick gateways and lush landscaping are planned at key intersections and entrances, ensuring that CMU stands out as a welcoming, distinguished place of learning. Additionally, upgrading campus signage and establishing uniform branding will help visitors navigate with ease, creating an even more inviting atmosphere. These efforts also include ensuring that our parking areas are efficient and accessible.

Pride You Can See and Feel

These enhancements will make a significant difference in how the campus is perceived by prospective students, parents, alumni, and community members. The upgraded gateways will create a sense of arrival, showcasing CMU’s commitment to preserving its history while embracing the future.

With better signage and parking, we also ensure that everyone feels welcome, and visitors have a seamless experience exploring all that Central Methodist has to offer. By investing in curb appeal, we are not just enhancing aesthetics but also strengthening the sense of pride and belonging that our campus fosters.

The Plans

Our beautification project focuses on several major improvements:

  • Improving sidewalks and parking along Church Street
  • Constructing brick gateways at the main campus entrances to showcase our historic charm
  • Adding landscaping features such as trees, flowers, and greenery at key entry points
  • Upgrading campus signage to enhance wayfinding and align with CMU’s brand identity
  • Improving parking facilities to ensure accessibility and a smoother flow of traffic around campus
