Theta Chi Upsilon, often referred to as the Thetas for short, is CMU's newest social sorority. It was originally founded in the 1960s but died out shortly after. Fast forward to January 2018 the sorority was officially rechartered with 11 passionate women ready to take the lead. Their mascot is the turtle and their colors are yellow, grey, and silver.

With the Make A Wish Foundation, their philanthropy the ladies of Theta hosted the first annual Karaoke for a Cause alongside the CMU's Delta Beta Tau chapter. All of the proceeds were donated back to the cause and they plan to make this an annual event. Theta's mission to campus is to spread suicide awareness. They had a guest speaker come to campus to tell her story. This is also an event that they plan to host every in hopes that it will spread awareness to those on and off campus.

Theta Chi Upsilon's goal is to create a sisterhood that instills lifelong friendships, makes an impact on the community, and adds to each individual experience at CMU.
