GENERAL SUMMARY:

Marketing Department at Central Methodist University seeks applicants for a Graduate Assistant with the Marketing and Communications department for the 2023–2024 school year.

This is a 20 hours/week, 10-month position renewable for up to two years pending an annual reviewing process. The position includes a full tuition waiver and a $7,500 stipend. Position begins August 2023.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

60% – Assist social media promotion of CMU’s academic programs and student resources for the purpose of recruiting students.

40% – Event support, photography and videography support and production.

 

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Will provide general oversight for work study students and interns to maintain consistent vision and coherent voice across all social media platforms.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree required.

Must be able to work 1-2 nights a week and/or weekends.

Must be accepted into the CMU Graduate program.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to carry 25-30 pounds.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Strong writing skills are a must.

Must have a strong interest in social media and up-to-date with current trends.

Occasional help with events during the evenings and weekends.
