PTA Accreditation

Effective May 4, 2016, Central Methodist University Physical Therapist Assistant Program has been granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (1111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314; phone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org). Candidate for Accreditation is a pre-accreditation status of affiliation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education that indicates that the program is progressing toward accreditation and may matriculate students in technical/professional courses. Candidate for Accreditation is not an accreditation status nor does it assure eventual accreditation.

Complaints

Complaints regarding the program or the program graduates should be first addressed to the PTA Program Director. Unresolved complaints or complaints about the Program Director should be directed to Dr. Megan Hess Ph.D., MSN Chair, Division of Health Professions. Dr. Hess can be reached by email mhess@centralmethodist.edu or by phone 660-248-6363. All complaints will be documented, including the projected outcome, and kept on file at the program facility. Complaints regarding Accreditation of this program should be addressed to the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. This Commission is located at 111 North Fairfax Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314. Retaliation against a person who files a complaint or persons who participate in the grievance proceeding is prohibited.
