Graduation Information

The crowning achievement to an academic career is, for most students, Commencement. CMU encourages all students eligible for graduation to take part in a Commencement ceremony.

Commencement Ceremonies

Fayette: November 21st, 2020

Two commencements will be held: 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Students will need to register ahead of time for commencement. Baccalaureate will not be held.

Both commencements will be livestreamed. Links to the livestream will be shared ahead of time via the university website and social media accounts.


Park Hills & Poplar Bluff: CANCELLED


Commencement begins at 7 p.m. in the ECC Theater on the East Central Campus in Union. Students graduating from CMU in Union and online students in the area will participate in this Commencement.


Commencement begins at 7 p.m. at Manchester United Methodist Church (129 Woods Mill Rd., Manchester, Mo.).

Students graduating from any program in the St. Louis area and online students will participate in this Commencement. Students should arrive no later than 6:15 p.m.

Graduating Senior Information

Students wishing to graduate must complete the Graduation Application found on myCMU. All graduates are required to pay a $75 graduation fee to the Business Office before graduation; this fee is required regardless of participation in a commencement ceremony.

Academic Regalia: All students planning to graduate should order their cap and gown online.
