Accreditation

Central Methodist University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and approved by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church.

The CMU Nursing Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.

The CMU Athletic Training Program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

The Swinney Conservatory of Music has been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music since 1950.

Professional education programs are approved by Missouri’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
