This catalog includes all materials owned by Smiley Memorial Library. It also contains University of Central Missouri, Missouri Valley College and State Fair Community College's library materials. Items can be requested from this catalog and will be received in 2-3 days.

Smiley Library subscribes to many online databases, providing access to full-text articles and citations from many different disciplines to students and faculty on and off campus. Credo Reference: An innovative databases of major reference works, complete with keyword subject, and visual searching. Contains over 395 titles full-text consisting of an aggregate of 3.2 million entries all interconnected by millions of links.
ProQuest Central: Largest aggregated full-text database in the market today totaling more than 13,440 titles - with over 10,390 titles in full-text. It serves as the central resource for researchers at all levels in corporations. Contains specialty subject coverage in Business, Science & Technology, Health & Medicine, Newspapers, Religion, and Social Sciences.
Discovering Collection: Thousands of overview essays, critical analyses, biographies, primary sources, creative works and multimedia elements make it easy for students to research papers and class assignments in five core subject areas: history, literature, biography, science and social studies.
Academic Search Elite: (EBSCOHost): A comprehensive database with over 2000 full-text journals from all disciplines.
Oxford English Dictionary: The OED is widely regarded as the accepted authority on the English language. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of 600,000 words past and presentfrom across the English-speaking world.
Lexis-Nexis: Includes articles in 5 areas: news, business, legal research, medical and general reference. All articles are full-text. This databases includes access to major papers from all over the world.
Newsbank: A full-text database of major Missouri newspapers

Academic Search Elite: Academic institutions worldwide depend on this database as their core resource of scholarly information. Contains full text for more than 2,100 journals, Nearly 150 journals have PDF images dating back to 1985.
A to Z The World Link: A collection of information on countries around the world. Contains geographical, cultural and political information. Great for country reports!
BioOne Complete: A database containing a unique set of high impact bioscience journals. All content is full-text.
CINAHL Plus with Full Text: A database of Nursing and Allied Health Literature provided by EBSCO. Some of the article indexed are full-text.
Consumer Health Complete - EBSCOhost: a comprehensive resource for consumer-oriented health content. It is designed to support patients' information needs and foster an overall understanding of health-related topics. Consumer Health Complete provides content covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine.
CQ Researcher and Archive: Original, comprehensive reporting and analysis on issues shaping our world. Each 12,000-word report is a unique work, investigated and written by a seasoned journalist. ERIC: Education Resource Information Center, contains more than 1.3 million records and links to more than 323,000 full-text documents dating back to 1966.
Forensic Science: Electronic, fully searchable access to Salem Science reference works on Forensic Science.
JSTOR Language and Literature: A collection of full-text, scholarly journals pertaining to all fields with language and literature. This database is an electronic collection of journals with coverage from the 1990's until 2007.
Learning Express Library: Learning Express is a practice test service that provides immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results.
Magill's Literary Annuals: Collections of book reviews and supplemental materials orgamnized by year.
MasterFILE Premier: this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps & flags.
Musicians and Composers of the 20th Century: An electronic reference set, fully searchable and full-text, containing wide coverage of musicians and composers from the last 100 years.
Naxos Music Library: This collection is over 400,000 music file, available for streaming through your PC using a built in music player. Users can also create shareable playlists and access supporting documentation. Classical, folk, spoken word and popular music are all included in this database.
Pop Culture Universe: PCU is an authoritative, yet irresistible, digital library of information on American and world popular culture, past and present, in a package as dynamic as the topic it covers. Reference USA: contains a wealth of business and job-hunting information, including company profiles, salary guidelines, demographic information and more.
Science Reference Center: a comprehensive research database that provides easy access to a multitude of full text science-oriented content. This database contains full text for nearly 640 science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, etc. Topics covered include: biology, chemistry, earth & space science, environmental science, health & medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science & society, science as inquiry, scientists, technology and wildlife.
