FAYETTE, Mo. - After weather forced its last four doubleheaders to be canceled, the Central Methodist University baseball team is set to open its home schedule Thursday afternoon in one nine-inning game against Hannibal-LaGrange College. CMU is scheduled to open Heart of America Athletic Conference play with a doubleheader against William Jewell College Saturday afternoon.

On Thursday, the CMU varsity will square off against Hannibal-LaGrange in a 2 p.m. game. Rather than a doubleheader, the two teams will play one nine-inning game. CMU enters Thursday's game with a 1-3 record, while Hannibal-LaGrange is currently 0-3 on the season. Following the varsity contest, the Central Methodist and Hannibal-LaGrange junior varsity squads will play a nine-inning game, beginning at 5 p.m.

Central Methodist is then scheduled to begin HAAC play Saturday afternoon in a doubleheader against William Jewell. The first of the two seven-inning games is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the Estes Baseball Complex. William Jewell currently stands at 7-2 on the season, and is scheduled to play Mt. Mercy College Friday.
