Students: Be sure to take careful note that failure to maintain your virus or spyware definitions can result in service charges and the inability to connect to the network.
Symantec Anti-Virus is the University anti-virus solution for all University-owned workstations and is installed by the Office of Technology Services.
Maintaining Computer Software
- Install the latest versions of software
- Be careful downloading free programs as they often contain spyware. Be sure you know who you are downloading from.
- Regularly update your anti-virus software, usually by opening the program and updating definitions.
- Keep your operating system up-to-date.
