CMU Visiting Missouri United Methodist Church

Includes President Drake and Chorale

Dr. Roger Drake, president of Central Methodist University, and the CMU Chorale will be guests at Missouri United Methodist Church in Columbia for two services on Sunday, Feb. 16.

The CMU Sunday program will offer a chance for United Methodists from Columbia to meet and get to know Dr. Drake, who became CMU's 26th President on July 1, 2013. He will be visiting the services at 8:50 and 11 a.m.

Along with Drake's appearance, the Chorale, CMU's premier vocal choir, will sing during both services. In addition to a call to worship and the benediction, the Chorale will sing an anthem and offertory music. The Chorale is conducted by Dr. Claude Westfall, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities.

All morning in the connector between the church and the education building, CMU Church Liaison Michael D. Pope will be available to discuss Central Methodist University and to provide information on academic programs and majors, co-curricular programs, and scholarships to CMU available for United Methodist Church students.
