CMU Hosts Martin Luther King Jr. Event

Memorial breakfast Saturday, January 18

A celebration of the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will take place at Central Methodist University on Saturday, Jan. 18.

The memorial breakfast and program begins at 9 a.m. on the fourth floor of CMU's Inman Student and Community Center. There is no cost, but organizers will welcome any $3 donations, with all proceeds going to the Fayette food pantry.

Keeyon Howard, a CMU alumnus and member of its residence life staff, will be the guest speaker. CMU student essay readings will feature Geofray Bilabaye, Chelsea Wallace and Cameron Green. The St. Paul United Methodist Church Choir will sing. Several others are also scheduled to speak.
