Brittany Losh to Give Senior Music Recital

Vocal performance major performs April 6

losh033114.jpgCentral Methodist University senior Brittany Losh, soprano, will perform her senior vocal recital on Sunday, April 6, at 4 p.m. in the Willie Mae Kountz Recital Hall on the Fayette campus of CMU.

Losh, who is from Pacific, Mo., is earning her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. She is a student of Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, CMU associate professor of music and head of the opera program.

She will be accompanied by Mary Jane Nance on piano.

Losh has been active in the CMU Marching Band Color Guard and plays trombone in the Concert and Jazz Bands. She has sung in Central's Chorale, Conservatory Singers, and A Cappella Choir.

She has been involved in numerous opera workshops, including Pirates of Penzance, Songs of Love and Celebration, and Topsy-Turvy. This spring she portrayed Susanna in the opera The Marriage of Figaro.

Losh belongs to Theta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, women's music fraternity and the Student National Association of Teachers of Singing. She has also performed in the Fayette Area Community Theatre.
