CMU Hosts Event On Human Trafficking

Guest speakers discuss growing problem

Central Methodist University’s Criminal Justice Department, along with the criminal justice fraternity, Pi Lambda Alpha, recently hosted a seminar on the growing problem of human trafficking.

Jessica Neely, a former adult film star, prostitute, and human trafficker – now an anti-pornography advocate, and Nanette Ward, chair of the Columbia-based Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition, spoke before a large audience at CMU on Monday, Nov. 14.

Neely and Ward's visit kicked off a speaking tour through mid-Missouri sponsored by the Central Missouri Stop Human Trafficking Coalition.
