Sorority to Trick-or-Treat for Canned Goods

Food to support the Howard County Food Bank

Goblins and ghosts will not be the only ones begging for goodies on Halloween night this year.

Among all the small hands reaching out for candy will be some full-sized people with big hands and bigger hearts. These folks will be asking not for candy, but for food for people in need.

The ladies of Central Methodist University's Delta Pi Omega, a social sorority, will be trick-or-treating in Fayette neighborhoods for canned goods on Halloween. The sorority placed bags on doors throughout the community asking for food donations. The women of Delta Pi Omega (with assistance from Enactus) will be picking the cans up starting at 6:00pm.

All of the food collected on October 31 will go to the Howard County Food Bank. The ladies will be grateful for all donations. So will many Howard County citizens.
