Central Methodist Sets August 1 Groundbreaking

To announce major construction project

Major construction in the form of renovations and upgrades has become common at Central Methodist University in recent years. Construction of new buildings on campus, however, happens much less often.

CMU officials are anxious to hold their first groundbreaking ceremony since 2003 as they announce a major new construction project on Friday, Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. The public is welcome to attend, according to CMU President Roger Drake.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held at the corner of Mulberry and Reynolds Streets in Fayette, on the east side of campus. Drake and other CMU officials will preside over the festivities and explain plans for the new academic facility.
