To take effect for 2014-15 academic year

Nine faculty members at Central Methodist University will begin the 2014-15 academic year this August with rank promotions and, in several cases, tenure according to Dr. Rita Gulstad, CMU provost.

Joy Flanders, Dr. Elizabeth Gold, Dr. Daryl Jefferies, Brandy Parker, Dr. Jeremy Reed, Jeff Sherman, Greg Thurmon, Dr. Michael Tilley, and Dr. Claude Westfall all were given promotions in faculty rank, as recommended by CMU administrators and approved by the CMU Board of Trustees.

Additionally, Gold, Reed, Tilley and Westfall all were granted tenure, Gulstad noted. Tenure is a continuous appointment to the CMU faculty in recognition of their service to the institution, their academic discipline, and quality instruction.
