Aubrey Taylor Gives Senior Recital

Vocal performance major to sing April 26

Mezzo-soprano Aubrey Taylor will present her senior music recital on Saturday, April 26, at 4 p.m. in the Willie Mae Kountz Recital Hall on the campus of Central Methodist University in Fayette. The time was originally announced as 7:30 p.m.

Taylor is a senior from Columbia. She has studied under the tutelage of Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan, CMU associate professor of music and director of the opera program. Taylor will be accompanied in her recital by Mary Jane Nance, pianist.

Taylor has been active in music and theatrical productions while at Central Methodist. Her music performances have included Pirates of Penzance, Fairy Tales, Songs of Love and Celebration, Topsy-Turvy, and The Marriage of Figaro.

In the non-musical theatre, she performed in Waiting for Godot, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Waiting for the Parade, among other performances. She also belongs to Alpha Psi Omega, national honorary theatre fraternity.

To earn a Bachelor of Music in Performance, students must perform a dual junior recital and a solo full-length senior recital.
