Central Methodist University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Swinney Conservatory of Music starting in August 2013.  Candidates must be committed to a career of excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching responsibilities may include studio piano and organ, class piano, music theory, and aural skills with the BME, BM, and BA programs.  Other duties include service on University and Division committees as well as participation in development of curriculum, program review, and assessment.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

The position requires a PhD or DMA (ABD considered) in music or music education.  The preferred candidate will have teaching experience and be an enthusiastic teacher focused on student success and learning.

Candidates should submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, three references with contact information, and unofficial transcript of graduate coursework to Human Resources at HR@centralmethodist.edu.
