Central Methodist University seeks applicants for graduate assistant athletic trainer positions beginning August 1, 2013. CMU, a member of the NAIA and Heart of America Athletic Conference, has a staff of 4 full-time certified athletic trainers and 5 graduate assistants.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include organization and supervision of health care delivery to student-athletes with responsibilities to a designated sport under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer. Each position will require morning clinical hours, afternoon/evening coverage of the assigned sport(s) (including travel), and administrative duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
Graduate Assistants will work toward a Master's degree in Education. Graduate Assistants will also serve as approved preceptors in the CAATE approved Athletic Training Education Program and will have numerous opportunities to collaborate with athletic training staff, faculty, and peers in clinical and teaching settings.
Other Information and Attributes:
All positions will be 10 month appointments renewable for up to two years pending an annual reviewing process. All positions include full tuition waiver upon acceptance and a $7,500 stipend.
