CMU, St. Paul's to co-host MLK breakfast

Central Methodist University and Saint Paul United Methodist Church are joining forces for this year's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 19.

The event will take place at 9 a.m. CT on the fourth floor of the Central Methodist Student and Community Center. It is sponsored by the Central Methodist athletic and student development offices and the Saint Paul United Methodist Church.

Please contact Mark Stone at mstone@centralmethodist.edu to register for the breakfast as space is limited to only 100 people.

The meal is free, but donations of $3 are requested. All money raised will go to support the Fayette Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry.

Breakfast Schedule:
9 a.m. - Opening remarks/prayer (Mark Stone Jacob Schneider or Mike Pope)
9:05-9:15 Serve breakfast
9:15-9:20 Singing (St. Paul Choir)
9:20-9:40 Reading of essays from Fayette High School students
9:40-9:45 Two CMU students to speak about the legacy of MLK
9:45-10 Featured speaker
10-10:05 Singing (St. Paul Choir)
10:05-10:10 Closing remarks and prayer (Lea Tindall or Mike Pope, Jacob Schneider)
