The Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art on the campus of Central Methodist University is sponsoring an October trip to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, located in Bentonville, Ark.

The museum, which just opened this past November, features over 400 works by American masters that highlight the full scope of American art and history, according to Dr. Joe Geist, curator of the Ashby-Hodge Gallery.

The two-day tour is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 23-24, and includes a stop at the expanded Springfield Art Museum, plus lunch at the famed Hemingway's Restaurant in the original Bass Pro Shop there.

The fee is $100 including transportation and double occupancy lodging, and gratuities. Breakfast on Wednesday morning is the only meal included.

For more information contact Dr. Geist at 660-248-2826 or jegeist@sbcglobal.net. For reservations, contact Stephanie Mullins in the Advancement office at Central Methodist by calling 660-248-6397, or via e-mail at smullins@centralmethodist.edu

Seats are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
