Seven Faculty Gain Promotions

Seven members of the Central Methodist University faculty were awarded promotions and two of them have been granted tenure by the CMU Board of Trustees.

These new faculty rankings will take effect on July 1, according to Dr. Rita Gulstad, dean of CMU.

Dr. John Bellefeuille was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of chemistry. A CMU faculty member since 2006, he has a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College and his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Susan Quigley-Duggan also was granted tenure along with a promotion to associate professor of music. She has a bachelor of music degree from the Hartt School of Music, a master of music degree from Northern Illinois University, and a doctor of music degree from the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Jack Healy was promoted to Professor of English. Also the associate dean of the CMU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and a CMU faculty member since 2000, Healy has recently resigned to take an administrative position at a college in Texas.

Dr. Jerry Priddy was promoted to professor of mathematics. Priddy, whose bachelor's and master's degrees are from Youngstown State University and whose doctorate is from Idaho State University, has been at CMU since 2002.

Julie Bennett, a CMU faculty member since 2006, was promoted to associate professor of business. Her bachelor's and master's degrees are from William Woods University.

Cindy Dudenhoffer was promoted to associate professor of libraries. Dudenhoffer, also director of CMU's Smiley Library, has her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Missouri.

Dr. Janice Henson is now associate professor of education. Her bachelor's degree is from Harding College and her master's degree and doctor of education degree are from the University of Missouri.
