In the midst of some of the worst snow Mid-Missouri has seen in years, Central Methodist University hosted its annual Music Fest. Approximately 28 districts had brave souls who could get out of their driveways and make the trip to CMU in Fayette on March 1.

A couple of districts attended Tuesday evening, Feb. 26 instead, in the middle of one blast of the bitter winter precipitation.

For those who made the trip, the cold, blustery day was worth the effort. Media was contacted with lists of all the student solos, ensembles, and large groups that earned either I or II ratings. Those making a I rating also received certificates of congratulations from CMU's hosting Swinney Conservatory of Music, whose students run the yearly festival.
