Assistant Professor of Mathematics
This position is a full-time tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Mathematics beginning August 2017.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach undergraduate mathematics courses for major and non-majors and work with students on a senior capstone project. There may also be opportunity and need to teach courses within the Masters of Mathematics program. Expected teaching load is twelve hours each semester with additional responsibilities to include holding office hours, serving on committees, advising students and continuing professional development.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate in Mathematics required. Experience with graphing calculators and the use of current technology in the classroom is desired. Using mathematical software such as Maple, Minitab, and Geometer's Sketchpad is a plus.
Must be able to stand or sit for the duration of the class.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
