breach of policy

For any alleged breach of CMU's policies, here is the proper reporting procedure:

  • Report of an incident must be in writing and given to the Office of Campus Computing.  The Campus Computing Policy Committee will review the report. Reports must be first-hand accounts.
  • Report should include all pertinent information (i.e. names, dates, times).  Be sure to sign and date the report.

VIOLATIONS OF POLICY
Action taken for each infraction may include, but is not limited to:

  1. A written warning, a meeting with the offender and/or temporary suspension of computing privileges until incident has been thoroughly researched.
  2. Suspension of computing privileges for 2 days for the first infraction.
  3. Suspension of computing privileges for one week for the second infraction.
  4. Suspension of computing privileges for an indefinite period of time.
