CMU Offers a four-year nursing degree program at St. Anthony’s
Medical Center
in St. Louis and other nearby Missouri communities. As part of its
Division of Health Professions degree programs, Central Methodist
University has established satellite campuses in several locations in
Missouri, including at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis. The
intent of this program is to assist associate-degree nurses to earn a
baccalaureate degree close to home and at an affordable cost in the
greater St. Lois area.
The Central Methodist BSN Degree Program began at St. Anthony’s in
October 2005 and currently has more than 30 students enrolled. The
program is open to all area residents with the essential qualifications
– an RN (Registered Nurse’s license) and an associate’s degree.
Participants in the program attend classes two nights a week in
eight-week blocks. The average student completes BSN degree requirements
with 18 to 24 months.
In addition to the BS in Nursing, St. Louis-area residents who have
an associate’s degree and are interested in completing a four-year
college degree in Child Development have the opportunity to do so
through Central Methodist University programs at St. Louis locations.
Persons seeking to enter the Child Development program to earn a
bachelor’s degree need to have 60 hours of college credits. If students
need additional hours toward professional development requirements, the
CMU program is flexible to meet their needs. Classes are held in the
evening.
CMU has established a partnership program in connection with the child
development programs in the St. Peters and Florissant areas.
The goal of this program is to provide a seamless transition from the
associate level degree to a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in
Child Development from CMU.
