Each of the five campus residence halls offers a unique living
environment. Howard-Payne and McMurry are co-ed. Holt Hall houses women
and Burford and Woodward Halls house men
All of the residence halls
have twenty-four hour computer facilities. Phone service, cable TV and
internet access is available in each residence hall room.
Each Hall is staffed with a Residence Hall Director
(RHD) and a team of upper-class student Resident Assistants
(RA's) to ensure that the residence halls remain focused on
providing a safe and comfortable living environment. RHD's and
RA's make every effort to help students feel at home and make
their time at CMU rewarding. |

YOUR ROOMMATE |
OTHER HOUSING
INFORMATION |
How can just fourteen questions on
an application decide who will become your roommate? These are
very specific questions concerning your lifestyle and
preferences. We want you and your roommate to adjust quickly to
your new residence, therefore we ask that you consider your
answers carefully when completing your application. You also may
request a specific person as long as you both agree to this
option.
Communicating with your future roommate via e-mail before you
arrive at CMU is a good way to connect before you move into your
new room. Early conversations between you and your new roommate
will help establish a level of cooperation. This also gives you
a chance to plan your room and to decide who is to bring what
item. Most roommates
easily learn to live together and become very good friends who
decide to room together every year.
The Office of Student Development will begin mailing room
assignments to CMU student in June and these continue to be sent
right up through early August. This letter will include the name
and contact information of your roommate as well as your
residence hall and room number. You will also receive check-in
directions and other important housing information.
