Melissa Alpers-Springer

Melissa Alpers-Springer (director, Garden) is an adjunct professor at Central Methodist University, teaching theatre and dual credit classes. She holds a BFA in theatre and interpretation from Missouri State University and an MA in theatre history, theory, and criticism from Northwestern University. Her university directing credits include Blood Relations, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and Picasso at the Lapin Agile at William Woods University. Her community theatre credits include Grease, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Mame at Shelbina Community Theatre, Pajama Game at Maplewood Barn Theatre, and The King Who Stole Spring at Columbia Entertainment Theatre. She lives in Columbia with her husband and son, who make it possible for her to direct. (She must mention her two daughters who are off at college, or there will be consequences!)
