I started doing FACT (Fayette Area
Community Theatre) in 2000 with Oklahoma, and kept at it just about
every year since. I started acting at a very young age, I believe my
first role was as a sheep in a church play, and jumped at every acting
opportunity since. I took acting lessons from Janet Hussey from ages
8-12, and did various productions with her. It was with her that I
learned the importance of improvisation in acting, and I can also blame
her for making me want to be an actor when I grow up.
Hobbies: I enjoy taking long walks on the beach and listening to
jazz. Um, I enjoy reading Steinbeck novels (Still can't believe he
killed Lenny...), watching films (Big fans of the Coen Brothers, Quinten
Tarantino, and Mel Brooks films), and hanging out with my friends.
Favorite play/musical: Tough one... I'd have to say my favorite
play would have to be Othello, and my favorite musical would be either
The Music Man or How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Goals/Future plans: Striking oil would be really nice.
Favorite Theatre Moment: I'm going to have to say that it would
be in this play where I decided to mix it up a bit and come out in my
underpants. That was just a classic moment.
Inspiration: Mel Brooks, when I watched Blazing Saddles for the
first time when I was ten-years-old, and saw the cowboys farting around
the campfire, I knew then and there that this was what I wanted to do.
It just looked like so much fun.
