CMU A Cappella Choir

The Central Methodist University A Cappella Choir was founded in 1932 by Dr. Luther T. Spayde, who remained its only director until his death in 1972. The A Cappella Choir was then conducted by Dr. R. Paul Drummond, Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Music from 1982 to 2007. The A Cappella Choir now rehearses in two sections in the fall, as the CMU Chorale and the Conservatory Singers, which combine in the spring to become the Central Methodist University A Cappella Choir.
