Campus ONLY) may take this interest instrument that matches students
interests with the interests of professionals in specific career fields.
The results will be interpreted by a qualified professional to assist
students in the career exploration process.

- Available online, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences students
(Fayette Campus ONLY)may take this personality inventory and
receive feedback which will assist in identifying characteristics,
enhancing understanding, and realizing motivations and natural
strengths. The results will be interpreted by a qualified professional.
Assessment Instructions
To take an Assessment, click on the name of the assessment and follow

Assessment Instructions.
Each assessment should take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Once
you have completed the assessment(s), please contact the Career
Development center by emailing

or calling x58255 to schedule an interpretation meeting.
Career Exploration

 
- Sigi 3 is now available 24/7 to
all CMU students, faculty and staff (CGES and CLAS). This
tool is an educational and career planning software program that
integrates self-assessment with in-depth and up-to-date career
information.
- Access O*Net Online assessment software and
assess your interests and abilities (available to CGES and CLAS
students). O*Net Online also provides a wealth
of knowledge about a variety of careers.
- Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
contains information on a variety of careers, including salary averages, market outlook, requirements, and descriptions.
- CityTownInfo.com, This is a resource that offers information about nearly every
city and town in the United States. The information is relevant to one's search for continued education as well as finding a
career. It offers detailed information about schools, towns, cities, and many careers.
