Secrett Stubblefield joins the Central Methodist University women’s basketball program as an assistant coach and scouting and video coordinator for her first season in 2009-10.

Stubblefield began her coaching career as the head girls’ varsity basketball coach at Waynesboro High School in Waynesboro, Va. In her first season as head coach in 2007-08, Stubblefield was named the VHSL Group AA Region III Coach-of-the-Year after guiding her team to the VHSL state championship game, finishing as the VHSL Group AA state runner-up. The team won the VHSL Group AA Region III, and Southern Valley district and tournament championships.

Prior to coaching at Waynesboro, Stubblefield played professional basketball in Poland and Austria. She was a scholarship athlete in her four years playing at NCAA Div. I St. John’s University (N.Y.).

A Chicago, Ill., native, Stubblefield earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from St. John’s University. She will pursue her master’s of education at Central Methodist.
