Lady Eagles get commitment from Northwestern High School standout

Kalyn Hines is a 6’0” post from Northwestern of Mendon, Mo.  Kalyn completed a successful senior season leading her team in most every statistical category.  Kalyn averaged 15 points a game while pulling down 16 rebounds a game.  Kalyn was named first team CLAA All-Conference and named to the All- District team.  Kalyn was a two time KMZU Dream Team member.  Kalyn at one point this season was named the KRES Radio player of the week.

During that week Kalyn scored 64 points (21.3 avg.) and 62 rebounds (20.6) Kalyn finished her high school career with many records in the state record book.  During Kalyn's career she had 18 games in which she finished with 20 plus rebounds.  Kalyn’s most impressive high school statistic would have to be her career rebound average.  Kalyn averaged 15.03 rebounds per game for her career, putting her second on the list in state history.

“Kalyn has a natural instinct that you can’t coach.  She has a nose for the ball and great anticipation, which shows in her rebounding ability. She is a great competitor with a good work ethic and will make those around her better because of it.  I believe that she will bring some great things to the CMU program,” Coach Lawson, Northwestern High School.
