Hazelwood Central guard signs with Lady Eagles
Chasity Ussery has signed a letter of intent to play for the Lady Eagles Basketball team this 2008-2009 season. The 5’5” point guard averaged 6.4 ppg, 3.6 apg, and 3.7 spg for Hazelwood Central. Ussery led her team in steals in assist while leading the conference in steals. She was among the conference leaders in assists, three-pointers, blocks, and free throws. The three time co-captain is a three year starter for Hazelwood Central. She was awarded the “Hawk” award by her teammates. The Hawk award is a senior that displays leadership, hard work, dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship, and responsibility on and off the court. Ussery received the Suburban North Conference Honorable Mention and was recognized by Francis Howell North H.S. for displaying excellent sportsmanship.
