Statement |
The Heart of America Athletic Conference is an
association of independent institutions that integrate
intercollegiate athletics and learning within the context of a
liberal arts education. Guided by the heritage and standards of
the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. HAAC
member policies and practices emphasize the educational needs of
student athletes. Member institutions compete in an atmosphere
of mutual trust and common purpose, promoting gender equity and
cultural diversity.

| National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics Philosophy |
The purpose of the NAIA is to promote education
and development of students through intercollegiate athletic
participation. Member institutions, although varied and diverse,
share a common commitment to high standards and the principle
that athletics serve as an integral part of education.
The NAIA embraces the concept of the student and recognizes the
importance of the individuality of each member institution, the
value of the conference and regional structure, and the benefits
of membership in a national association. |
