Excellence in Science Fund

Technology is advancing at an amazing rate, and the Division of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science is committed to cultivating an environment in which students maximize their experiences and learning. However, with the very high price of scientific instrumentation, it is often a challenge to keep up. The Excellence in Science Fund was created so that the division would have resources in addition to the yearly budget. These resources are used to help maintain current instrumentation including microscopes, balances, various pieces of analysis equipment, GPS unit, etc. The resources also make it possible for us to look ahead to the acquisition of new, different, and complimentary instrumentation. Most instrumentation serves double duty as class/lab instruments as well as those used for student research projects. We are proud of our history in training young men and women in science and are very grateful for gifts to the Excellence in Science Fund that help carry that history into the future.
