CMU has many options for technology throughout campus for students:
- Wireless internet
"hotspots" in 12 buildings throughout campus (residence halls only have
wireless in the lobby areas).
- Access to "myCMU" where a
student can get online and check their grades, get their schedule, or
other information associated with their courses all through a web
browser providing 24x7 access to your information.
- Music download service,
RUCKUS. Over 3 million songs to choose from that you can select
from, and download and play for free on your computer. If you want to
transfer to your portable music device (i.e. MP3 player) there is a
small charge.
- Special Microsoft
purchasing discounts for software like Microsoft Office 2007 (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Internet ports in all residence
hall rooms.
- Have problems with your computer or does it need a tune-up. Find an

"Outpost".
- Phone connections in every
room providing local telephone service and your own personal voicemail
- Their own Central Methodist
University "Eagle Mail" account where they can be sure to stay
connected with the latest news and announcements around campus.
- Computer labs in all
residence hall lobbies for virtually 24x7 access.
