The Physical Therapy Cooperative Program
The "3-3" Early Admission Program in Physical Therapy
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences provides its students with a
three-year curriculum in pre-physical therapy. Upon completion of this
pre-physical therapy program at Central Methodist University, during
which the student must complete all liberal arts requirements of Central
Methodist University, an outstanding student may apply to the Doctor of
Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC).
If selected the student then completes the three year DPT program and is
awarded both a BS from CMU and the DPT from UMC.
The “4-3” Early Admission Program in Physical Therapy
This is an early admission partnership between Central Methodist
University and Southwest Baptist University Department of Physical
Therapy. The student applies for early admission to the Doctor of
Physical Therapy Program in the spring of the junior year. If accepted,
a place is held for that student. Students receive the BS or BA from CMU
and the DPT from SBU.
