iSchool - Dual Credit Program
The CMU iSchool dual credit program allows qualified high school students to enroll in approved classes and receive both high school and college credit, providing an early start in fulfilling college requirements. Credit earned can be applied at many colleges and universities, including CMU.
Admission Requirements
Student Requirements for Admissions as Outlined by the Coordinating Board of Higher Education (CBHE) include:
- A cumulative Grade point average of at least 3.0 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale
- Parental Permission
- Satisfactory completion of course prerequisites
- Transcript accompanying enrollment form
- High school students must be juniors or seniors in good standing and attending a recognized Missouri high school. Ninth- and tenth-grade students are eligible for dual credit classes IF they demonstrate competency by scoring at the 90th percentile or above on the ACT or SAT or equivalent; meet CBHE requirements as well as those for juniors and seniors; and the high school senior administrator and current teacher agree that they can benefit from a dual credit course.
All students are subject to requirements, policies, practices, and procedures governing Central Methodist University students, including grading standards and student conduct. Each high school decides the type and amount of credit given toward graduation. Credit and grades earned are recorded on the student's CMU transcript.
