Cost of Attendance

Cost of Attendance is a formal term used by the Department of Education to estimate the cost to a student, both directly and indirectly, of being a full time student. Cost of Attendance is also referred to often as the student's budget. Some courses and areas of study can include additional fees not shown here. Financial aid cannot exceed the direct institutional cost of attendance (tuition, mandatory fees, books, or room and board). Institutional scholarships may need to be reduced based on federal grants received. Visit the Tuition and Fees page for more information.

NOTE: The Cost of Attendance for summer months are prorated for the shortened session, as summer only 3 months. Prorating for cost of attendance is completed for room and board, personal, and transportation expenses. Twelve (12) hours are still full time in summer, so tuition, fees, and books are not prorated unless a student is less than full-time.
