About This Program
The Public Administration major will develop your management and leadership skills so you’re able to evaluate programs, and the individuals involved with executing those programs. You will focus on current issues policy makers face, and take classes surrounding focuses in economics, government, finance, and more. This major will prepare you to make an impact on society, and on policies and procedures in place that require attention.
As a CMU Public Administration major, you will have opportunities to:
- enhance your knowledge and skills while taking classes such as Economics of Public Policy, Constitutional Law, Social Problems, Macroeconomics, Social Psychology, and Law in American Society
- participate in hands-on learning through projects, presentations, field experiences, and internships
- obtain the educational background desired by employers in a variety of fields pertaining to government, education, administration, and public policy
- receive the preparation needed to earn an advanced degree
