Admission Requirements - MSM

Students are admitted to the Master of Mathematics degree program on the basis of academic preparation, aptitude for graduate study, and character based on the following documentation:

  1. Completed admission application
  2. Official transcripts verifying completion of a BA or BS degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on 4.0 scale from an accredited baccalaureate program. Students with a BA or BS outside of Mathematics or Mathematics Education must
    a) have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, and
    b) have completed the following undergraduate courses with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale:
          i. Calculus 3
          ii. 6+ hours in mathematics at or equivalent to the 300+ level.
  3. Three letters of recommendation from school administrators, professional colleagues, or college professors with knowledge of the applicant's academic program or professional performance. Letters of recommendation must be sent directly by the authors to cges@centralmethodist.edu. Student submitted letters or faxes are not accepted.

Upon receipt and review of all information and supporting documents, applicants will be notified of their admission status. The University reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who does not meet standards for admission.
