Support for Mobile Devices
The Central Methodist University email server is "ActiveSync" enabled. This allows you to receive your CMU email, contacts, and calendar on your mobile device through your cellular provider's data network or an internet connection. CMU will provide support on an "as time permits" basis for users who own a mobile device and want to check their University email with the device using their wireless provider's data network or an internet connection.
The University does not provide support for the physical connectivity of any mobile device (example: connecting my mobile device via USB connection to my PC) to a University-owned system and does not provide support for mobile device upgrades (i.e. firmware, applications, operating system).Users should contact their wireless provider for support
Should you synchronize your mobile device with the University email server on a regular basis and lose your mobile device, please notify the Office of Technology Services immediately.
