DeBrodie To Present CMU Senior Recital
Ryan Lewis couples with special recital

Soprano Danielle DeBrodie of Central Methodist University’s Swinney Conservatory of Music will present her senior recital on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 4 p.m. in the Willie Mae Kountz Recital Hall on the Fayette campus.
DeBrodie, from Mokane, is earning her bachelor of music education degree. Joining her will be Ryan Lewis on clarinet in a special recital. He is also a senior education major from Kaiser. His primary instrument is saxophone, and he presented his senior recital in the fall.
DeBrodie, who will be accompanied by CMU collaborative pianist Janet O’Neill, will perform “Amarilli mia bella” by Caccini; “Bel piacere” by Handel; “Se i miei sospri” by Fetis; “Ici-bas!” by Faure; “Si mes vers avaient des ailes” by Hahn; “Die Lotosblume” by Schumann; “Lied der Mignon”by Schubert; “I Love All Graceful Things” by Thiman; and “Loveliest of Trees” by John Duke.
Lewis will be accompanied by collaborative pianist Mary Jane Nance and will be performing “Concertino for Clarinet” by Weber; “Sonata for Clarinet and Piano (I. Quiet Song, II. Rondo, III. Waltz, and IV. Dance)” by CMU Professor emeritus Dr. Ron Shroyer; and “Fantaisie for Clarinette and Piano” by Gaubert.
DeBrodie is a student of Dr. Laura Wiebe, assistant professor of music, and presents this recital in partial fulfillment of the Bachelor of Music Education degree. Lewis is a student of Dr. Ron Shroyer.
